Colleen & Mark    11.07.08

Friday, November 14th, 2008

The Couple: Collen & Mark Rayer
Getting Ready: Bride’s parents house and groom’s house in Springfield
Ceremony: St. Augustine Church - Philadelphia
Photos: Second National Bank - with permit!
Reception: Cescaphe Ballroom, Philadelphia
What we remember the most about Colleen and Mark: This is a family we have worked with in the past. We photographed the Grooms cousin’s wedding(Lauren and Jeff) back in 2004. It is so nice to be able to work with families more than once. There is a comfort level and trust that is very comfortable for us. Colleen and Mark were able to get some nice pics outside St Augustine Church in Philly and at the Second National Bank at 3rd and Chestnut. We were losing light very quickly but Colleen and Mark were so willing to work with us while we experimented with video light and low light camera techniques. It was a challenge but it all worked! And we had a huge Bridal party.. 22 in all! Following the family photos we headed over to the Cescaphe Ballroom for a great party! As usual the food setups and service were amazing! Something that Joe Volpe manages to do better every event!

Bowling with Jenna and Scott

Monday, November 10th, 2008

Jenna and Scott have known each other their whole lives. They are such fun couple so we wanted their pre-wedding shoot to be unique and one of a kind. Following them around Philadelphia as they enjoyed their date seemed like a perfect idea. They went bowling at Lucky Strike and strolled around old city.
We are looking forward to capturing their wedding next April at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia.

Laura & Tom    10.25.08

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

Laura and Tom were such a pleasure to work with. Their adoration for one another shows in every image.
We started the day at the Union League with Laura and her family with emotions all around us. The ceremony was held at the Church of Holly Trinity on Rittenhouse Square. We all braved the weather for a couple of outside photos and headed to the Union League for the rest. The antique Mead Room was beautifully decorated with fall accents! CTO Tribeca kept everyone grooving the whole evening.
A big applause goes to Tom’s son Christian who did a phenomenal job being a ring bearer!
Congratulations and we hope that you enjoy your honeymoon.

Jana & Brian

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

We had a great experience with Ashley and Greg last week! We did a pre-wedding shoot with them and they were so into the whole experience! We visited several places in the area, including the Greenville country Club, where Greg and Ashley will be getting married on June 20th, 2009. Sipping champagne by the grand fireplace, how romantic and classic. We also spent some time shooting on the beautifully landscaped grounds of the Club. Greenville C.C Thank you linda for setting this up for us! The fall setting was so perfect, the leaves and autumn colors complimented the look of the shoot. Ashley and Greg were great to be around, they had fun getting their pictures taken. It felt so good to be connected with them..sincere trust..genuine honesty and the results “true” life style” photos of a beautiful and loving couple! I loved showing Betsy and the bridal party the screen on the back of my camera, it made them so excited to “see” just what I was getting. Bridal party was fun and the party was such a PARTY! Hundreds of guests danced to the amazing sounds of the Eddie Bruce Orchestra . Thank you Betsy and Jeffery for a great time!

10.10.08    Joanna and Jovany

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

The Couple: Jovany and Joanna Blasini
Getting Ready: Wingate Inn, Voorhees, NJ
The Ceremony: St. Joan of Arc-Marlton, NJ
The Reception: Venetian Room, Lucians’s Manor, Berlin, NJ (bride and friends decorated themselves, very nice!)
What I remember most about the couple: They trusted us so much, they knew they were in good hands. That trust enabled us to do our very best and played a big part in Jovany and Joanna having a great day and knowing the photographs were going to be just what they hoped for. Family and friends treated us like we were family! It was a real pleasure spending the entire day with everyone. And… It was also a special day for lots of Philly fans-the Phillies had won the National League Title as the party was entering the reception. I also want to thank Vince for this cherished referral he was one of Jovany’s best man. We did Vince and Allison’s wedding in October of 2005. The ring Bearer, Vince’s little boy “little vince” was great! Jovany and Joanna you are an amazing couple! I wish you all the love and happiness in the world!
The Honeymoon: They will be vacationing in Aruba! Have fun, relax and enjoy!

10.04.08    Danielle & Mike

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

Mike and Danielle’s wedding was an absolute pleasure to photograph. Everyone was having so much fun all day. We started at Danielle’s home with getting ready photos. Mike hid cards and presents all around the house and guided Danielle on a walkie talkie to find them. It had to be one of the most romantic wedding day ideas I have ever seen.
The ceremony was held at St. Michael’s Church in Minotola, NJ. The couple exited the church and took a carriage ride for a few alone moments. We took all photos in the little park next to the church, the light was beautiful and we all agreed that the change of plans for a portrait location was a good idea.
The reception was held at Merighi’s Savoy Inn in Vineland. It included the greatest bridal party dance, a change of attire for the grooms men - from tuxes to shirts and board shorts, and the bride’s favorite chicken dance.

It was a pleasure working with you and your friends and family. I hope that you are enjoying Maui. Congratulations!

Jana & Kim

10.04.08    Robin and Scott

Monday, October 20th, 2008

The Couple: Robin and Scott McCann
The first look: Along a beautiful tree lined path at Winterthur
Where they were married: Winterthur County Estate , Winterthur, DE
The ceremony: In the magnificent and natural garden setting located next to the reflecting pool at Winterthur
Party Time: Winterthur Visitors Center
What I remember most about Robin and Scott: They way they look at each other and how they care about each other. It was so easy to follow them around Winterthur, stopping and getting great romantic shots of them being together, laughing, kissing and just having fun on their wedding day. The weather was just perfect! It was a great decision that they made to see each other before the ceremony. We had so much time to be creative and it also gave us the opportunity to take advantage of the great estate and the stunning gardens at Winterthur. Best wishes to the both of you! And a special thanks to the families for making us feel like we were a part of your family on the wedding day.
Joan and Nicole Thank You!! It is always a pleasure working with you at Winterthur!

The couple: Lauren and Vince
Getting ready: Bride’s family beach house in Avalon
Ceremony: Maris Stella Church in Avalon, NJ

It was a great pleasure working with Lauren and Vince’s families. After a rainy Friday we were a bit worried about photos on the beach, but the weather could not have been any better. The couple met in Sea Isle City, NJ and getting married at the beach was a perfect choice! They even had a banner plane fly overhead during cocktail hour.
The sunset at Avalon Yacht Club is always a great opportunity for amazing photos.
