Here is an album from a family wedding that I photographed in the Czech Republic earlier this year. My sister and her fiance decided to have an intimate family gathering at Castle Detenice about an hour north of Prague. I may be bias but the ceremony and reception were amazing. Especially the staff being dressed in period costumes.
The bride and groom had an opportunity to take photos inside some of the castle’s private rooms after the ceremony. I have always wanted to photograph a wedding in the snow. Snow and a castle – even better! Martina and Richard braved the cold. I am glad she followed my recommendation and wore a fur coat and white boots. My roles as a photographer and a maid of honor in one sometimes conflicted and Brian did an excellent job capturing moments that I was not able to. We made a nice large album for the couple and 5×7 copies for all of the parents. I can’t wait to show them.
I will be in Prague and other parts of the Czech Republic on July 5-7. If you are in the area and would like an engagement, family, anniversary, or just because session please call the studio.

We had the honor to document Arden Rose’s amazing bat mitzvah celebration at the Bellevue on May 30th. Melissa Paul of Evantine was responsible for putting together this 60’s inspired bash. Colorful details were everywhere and there was so much to do for children and adults – engraved jewelry, hand made glass ornaments, airbrushed hats and Ts, photo booth… The surprise Beatlemania band topped everyone’s expectations at the end of the evening. I overheard guests saying that “this was the best party that they have ever been to” when saying their good byes. I would have to agree! Arden Rose is so talented; she sang, danced, gave a speech and truly enjoyed herself all night. She could not wait for portraits to be over so that she could see how amazing the room looked.
Big thanks goes to all of the vendors involved who made the evening a success and also DVideography for capturing everything on tape, and especially to the parents – Elaine and Barry. Thank you for letting us be part of this important day. It was an honor to document the great relationship you have with your daughter!

Ceremony: St. Thomas More Church-Cherry Hill, NJ
Pics of Couple, Bridal Party and Families: Rodin Museum-Philadelphia,PA
Reception: The Union League-Philadelphia,PA
What I remember most about Christina and Giulio and the wedding Day: Another great Saturday! Beautiful weather and an all around awesome wedding day!
Christina you were great to work with, full of life and a great spirit. Giulio and you are a perfect pair, in love forever. I remember Christina talking to me about wanting us to photograph her wedding since 2003! She was not even engaged yet… WOW! How cool is that! I also remember the ceremony, the priest interacting with the family and guests. It was very different and a great personal message was received by all. Later we did some very creative city shots as the sun was setting aroung the Union League. They LOVED the pics and “being in the moment”! The party was hosted by the Union League and the Grand Lincoln room was full of celebration and festive music. Italian/Dance Music and a Entertaining DJ from NYC that kept everyone up on their feet dancing all night long.
Thank You Christina and Giulio!

Here are some beautiful photographs, from a beautiful day in a picturesque location of some beautiful people.. Kelli and Frederick! We spent a few hours at the stunning Longwood Gardens with this very much in love already married couple. Kelli contacted us and asked us to do a photo shoot at Longwood, we were honored to be there for them! They were married a month or so ago at the Jersey shore. This time around Kelli had a different dress that was just perfect for the day! WOW it was so relaxed, no time pressure like on the wedding day. We had more time to be creative and it was such a pleasure to be with a couple that just was open for anything and there to have fun.
Enjoy,
mike and jana

Joe and Beth just added some new decor to their home. A beautiful 30″x40″ custom made fine art Canvas wrap! Coming out of the church with such joy and emotion on their faces! They were so excited when they hung it that they emailed me a photo right away.
This is what they emailed us:
“This email is long overdue. We wanted to thank you again for the awesome canvas wrap. We hung it in our living room shortly after receiving it, and the compliments have not stopped since then. It makes an immediate impression on people as soon as they come in our front door. Everyone loves how different it is from a “traditional” wedding portrait and frame. Even a 15 year old kid, who is the son of Joe’s co-worker, made a comment on how he thought it was cool.
We have attached a few photos so you could see how it looks hanging in our place. It always brings a smile when we pass by it in the house, and it reminds of us what a great wedding day we had…..along with the great wedding photography service you and your team provided.”
Looking forward to seeing you this weekend for Matt and Mary’s wedding. The family is excited to have mk Photography at another big event!
See you Saturday!
Beth and Joe
This is a frameless piece that so many of our clients are ordering.. This one pictured here is 3″ in depth. Remember small prints on large walls get lost very easily! Most people shy away from these larger pieces, but as soon as they see them in our studio they have a change of heart. Look at how the colors match so nicely! Great job Joe and Beth.
